The Divine Field is a series that explores ancient healing modalities. Think of it as earth’s first Multi-Dimensional Travel Show. This piece is setting the stage for our three heroes before they go intergalactic.

The Black Currents were asked to play our version of this Leadbelly classic live as Eric Michael Kochmer’s film Way Down In Chinatown screened behind us. This is that performance in all its bleak and spooky glory. This is the first time Matt played his Gretsch Black Falcon live and if you listen close to the solo at the end you can hear someone falling in love with his guitar. There was so much more music but the tape ran out. Ah, life.

Matt was approached by renegade Director Jett Garrison to score a dance piece set in a post-apocalyptic warzone, sponsored by Vanity Fair magazine. Challenge accepted. The score is a mashup of Nine Inch Nails industrial glitch and Rachels Grimes’ sullen chamber forms. This piece screened at 30 festivals worldwide to well deserved acclaim for Jett.

Our wayward heroine and her future beau meet in a park. The score for this song evolved into a Black Currents song called Yes Monster. Soon to be released.

The film that launched Busterhouse. Creative powerhouse Tara Samuel wrote and directed this mini masterpiece. Matt Flügger produced, edited and scored the film, which screened at 14 festivals domestically. FIND was nominated for Best Narrative Short at the Austin Film Festival. Winning at Austin meant Oscar competition. Minblowing for a first effort.
